F.A.Q.

What is your field, and how did you get in?
I am a Sociology student. Picked it up because nowadays you need some type of official paper, even if its worth as much as a toilet one.

Where do you want your Journey to lead you?
To Infinity and beyond! Always reach for the stars for you can certainly pierce the Heavens!

What would you like to achieve within the next year?
Some form of skill in drawing. Actually trying out different art approaches, tho I am yet to upload results of them. I also aim to learn human and anthro art - I am very bad with such anatomy since I have been practicing only in horse creatures and dragons (not really respectable anatomy needed) for a very long while.

So far, how have you been developing your skills?
Only self taught. Searched for books and tutorials online stacking them up, buying mags like Imagine FX and 2D artist. When I'm drawing something and see an opportunity to experiment (say, have a tut on the topic on my PC/bookmarks) I will try it out.

Where does your motivation come from?
Any source really - friends, games, anime, movies even art in mags or ads in the TV or on the streets. I personally think there is no limit, I just fail to utilize it since I get inspired but never get to a paper afterward...

Where do you go when you seek inspiration?
Music. Definitely my number 1 source. After that I watch a lot of anime and in case of inspiration I pick some that is artistic and full of emotion or some I really loved. If that fails, I also like to watch or listen to documentaries or Disney classics and draw from there.

What are some of your favorite artists and genres?
Mostly online people. I pretty much like almost anything and anyone. My biggest favs are ofc art of my friends. In general tho I could list almost any popular artist on dA (there is a reason for their popularity after all) and ofc Alphonse Mucha :D

What are some of your favorite writers and books?
So many to list. Err... G. R.R. Martin, Jun Mochizuki, Urobuchi Gen, Christie Golden, Mel Odom, Pitirim Sorokin, Fuyumi Ono, Sergej Lukjanenko, Raymond E. Feist, Simon R. Green, Terry Pratchett and many more...

What do you listen to?
Epic orchestra and choir music. Some examples include Two Steps from Hell, Audiomachine or Immediate Music. Another are Japanese songs and soundtracks from anime (e.g. Yuki Kajiura) and alternative rock/orchestra and alike (Muse, Rise Against...). But my mains are and always will be the orchestra genre - full of emotion, impact and audio imagery.

What are some of you favorite movies and filmmakers?
Now damn... I could list almost any anime here. Movies - Kingdom of Heaven, King's Speech, In Brugges, Red Cliff, Dredd (the 2012 one) etc etc. One of my fav creators is Urobuchi Gen because of his plot twists and refreshing (albeit depressive) style of storytelling.

What is your favorite website?
Biggest time-waster world™ - Tumblr.
